Roof pricing without the runaround.

We measure your roof from satellite imagery. No in-home appointment, no sales rep, no estimate negotiations. About 30% of a typical roofing bill is sales and marketing overhead — we cut that out and pass the savings back to you.

The cost of the old way

What traditional roofing actually costs you

30%
Of your bill is sales & marketing
Most roofing companies spend more acquiring you as a customer than they spend on your actual roof.
~20hrs
Lost to the traditional sales process
Home visits, follow-up calls, price negotiations, and callbacks — before a single shingle is replaced.
$4,500
Average Openly savings per job
By removing the sales layer entirely, we pass that margin directly back to you — the homeowner.
Why this exists

Roofing is broken. We're fixing it.

Roofing is a $60 billion industry. About 30% of that is sales and marketing — door-knockers, call centers, free-quote landing pages, sales reps driving around in trucks with logos.

That's $18 billion every year that homeowners pay for someone to convince them to buy a roof.

We thought that was insane.

So we built Openly. The roofing companies have decades of head start on us. We have software, transparency, and a fixed price. We think that's enough.

FAQ

Common questions

How accurate is the instant price?
+
Our prices are based on aerial satellite measurements of your actual roof — not estimates based on square footage you enter yourself. The price range you see is typically within 5–10% of the final job cost. You won't get a surprise invoice.
Do you serve my area?
+
We're currently operating in the San Francisco Bay Area, with new metros launching throughout 2026. Enter your address to confirm availability in your area — and if we're not yet in your market, you can join our waitlist to be notified when we launch.
What happens after I enter my address?
+
You'll see an instant price range for your roof based on real measurements. We won't call you unless you ask. You can reserve your installation spot with just an email — we'll personally reach out within 1 business day to confirm availability and schedule. Or save the quote and come back later when you're ready.
Will anyone call me or visit my home?
+
No. That's the whole point. We will not call you unless you ask, and we will never send a salesperson to your home. The only time someone visits is the day your licensed crew arrives to install your new roof.
Are your crews licensed and insured?
+
Yes. All installation crews are licensed, insured, and vetted in every market we operate in. Your job comes with a material warranty and a workmanship guarantee.
Why is your price lower than what other roofers quote?
+
We don't have a sales team, a showroom, or a marketing department dialing through neighborhood lists. Removing those layers saves the average homeowner about $4,500. The roof itself — same materials, same crews, same warranty — costs the same to install regardless. We just stopped paying for the layer between you and the work.
You're new. Why should I trust you with my roof?
+
Honest answer: we're new. We launched in 2026. We can't point to thousands of past customers because we don't have them yet. What we can point to is licensed installation crews (the same crews most local roofers hire), industry-standard materials, and a transparent fixed price. If you'd rather wait until we have a longer track record, that's a completely reasonable choice.
Why don't you have customer reviews on the site?
+
Because we don't have any yet. We could have shown you fake testimonials with stock photos — that's actually shockingly common in this industry. We chose not to. We'd rather have an honest empty review section than a dishonest full one.
What if I want a sales rep to come out and look anyway?
+
We don't have any. The closest thing we have is the licensed crew who shows up to install your roof. If you'd really rather buy your roof through a more traditional process, there are dozens of roofing companies in your area set up to do exactly that — we'd genuinely encourage you to use one.
How is this different from other "instant roof quote" websites?
+
Most of those are lead-generation funnels — they collect your address and phone number, then sell that info to local roofing companies who call you within minutes. We're not a lead generator. The quote you see is the actual price we'll re-roof your house for, by our own crews. Your information stays with us.
